Facility Plus is thrilled to be sponsoring and participating in the Greater Toronto – Caledon Hills Ride Don’t Hide on June 23: a nationwide fundraising bike ride that brings mental health out into the open. Did you know that 1 in 5 Canadians have a mental illness in any given year? But yet 2 out of 3 people do not access help, largely do to the stigma surrounding mental health. About 1.2 million Canadian children and youth experience a mental illness, but less than 20% receive help. What can we do? Everyone deserves to feel well, whatever their mental health experience. When we hide from each other and from how we’re feeling, we don’t get the support or help we deserve or need. Ride Don’t Hide gives thousands of people across Canada the opportunity to connect—to their own mental health, to each other and to their broader communities, while raising critical funds that support CMHA mental health programs and services in their own communities. Learn more here! Last year, the Facility Plus Roadsters participated in the Ride and were the top fundraising team. Off the course, our team members also helped with the logistics of the event. This year, we are proud to be continuing our involvement with this incredible event by hosting the Greater Toronto- Caledon Hills Ride! We hope that you will join us at the Greater Toronto- Caledon Hills Ride on June 23rd! You can register here. You can also support this awesome event by donating here. Together, we can put an end to the stigma surrounding mental health. Let’s RIDE – not HIDE!
